The Chaar Dhaam Yatra, also known as the Chota Char Dham, is a pilgrimage circuit in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It consists of four holy sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These sites are highly revered by Hindus, and visiting them is believed to wash away sins and facilitate the attainment of salvation.

1. Yamunotri: This is the source of the Yamuna River and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The temple here is located at an altitude of around 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) above sea level.

2. Gangotri: Situated at an altitude of about 3,100 meters (10,200 feet), Gangotri is the origin of the sacred River Ganges (Ganga). The main deity here is Goddess Ganga.

3. Kedarnath: This site is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Located at an altitude of about 3,583 meters (11,755 feet), Kedarnath is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty.

4. Badrinath: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams, sacred shrines revered by Vaishnavites.

The Chaar Dhaam Yatra typically begins from the west and proceeds clockwise. It is considered a spiritually enriching journey and attracts devotees from all over India and beyond. Many pilgrims also visit other nearby sacred sites during their journey.
